Episode 6: “Rapunzel” (8:20)
In which the prince is blinded, Rapunzel gets knocked up, and the tears of true love save the day.
“Rampion” is indeed another word for rapunzel. It is a flowering plant native to Europe and western Asia. Its flowers are usually purple, but can also appear blue, white, or pink.
The “ell” is a unit of measurement, roughly the length of a man’s arm. The length of an ell varies from country to country. A rough estimate puts “twenty ells” at about 60-75 feet high.
