That’s right. I finally broke down and asked the DreamWrights folks for their wifi password. It’s been nice taking Chuck and Morgan to rehearsals — I can spread my stuff out on one of the couches in the lobby and spend almost 2.5 undisturbed hours working.
The director stopped by on one of my earlier visits to commend me for being such a great friend & neighbor to the boys. I figure she didn’t need to know a.) how self-serving I really was and b.) exactly how many rehearsal taxi services I still need to do to make up for all those plays Mom let me be in as a kid. (Thanks, Mom!)
The play is in a couple of weeks — I can’t wait to see it! I’ll be a little sad to have lost my dates in the evenings, but I’m sure I’ll be able to find another venue in which to continue my fabulous Herculean efforts (ie: start a new novel).
What’s that, you ask? When are the performances? Why, I’m so glad you asked!

For those of you exceptionally biased folks (like me) who want to make sure they see the Boys of Awesome Porch, they will be dying magnificently on stage (See Chuck’s Tony Award-worthy Alan Rickman death! See Morgan get taken out by Evil Santa Claus!) Feb 19, 21, and 27th at 6:30pm, Feb 20 & 28 at 2:30pm, and they will be doing the “playlet & breakfast” on Feb 27th at 9:00am.
The 27th, huh? Without knowing what plans, if any, are afoot for that weekend, I believe I will at least be in the vicinity!
Although 9am is pretty damn early for ANYTHING!
Worry not, my friend — we will make this happen!! xox
