Sing For Your Supper

In this new video for their song “Miss Hallelujah,” I think my boys from the Adam Ezra Group cover just about everything we should be thankful for. And so I dub it the official Thanksgiving Day Song of 2012. Please feel free to share this love far and wide!

I hope all of you in America have a wonderful holiday. Take a moment to think about what you love today. And if the spirit moves you…sing for it.

Much love,
Alethea

So Much to be Thankful For

I am thankful for amazing sunsets that last for hours on long road trips. I have always loved sunsets, ever since I was a little girl taking pictures with her father’s ancient Minolta with the huge telephoto attachment.

I am also thankful for all this fabulous photo technology at our fingertips so that we might share the beautiful visions of my magical life with the world.

Email and Thanks

In this, the season of Thanksgiving (in the US), let us give thanks to King Fabulous WebMaster Phillip I, who has fixeth the website email form.

I notified him of the problem and he wrote me back immediately, telling me that he had discovered what was wrong. As I am Princess Technoidiot, what I gathered from his missive was: “Lalalalalala cache lalalalalalalalala fixed now“–much in the way of Ginger, the dog from The Far Side.

Thank you, my dearest Phillip, you are a wonder. Comme toujours.

Now, LET THE EMAILING COMMENCE!!

Goth Girl’s Guide to Better Traction

In the twenty-first century, it’s not uncommon to have several Thanksgivings and Christmasses. You’ve got your mom’s family, your dad’s family, your stepfamily, your work family, your own family, and seven other families I forgot (but you best not have). I’m luckier than most in that I only had one Thanksgiving and two Christmasses this year — one in SC and one in PA. But then…I quit my job and moved right before Thanksgiving so I’ve been able to actually TAKE PART in all the festivities, and see friends along my amazing road trip that I normally wouldn’t have been able to see. As a result, I’ve come away with so many pictures I don’t even know where to start.

So I’m going to start here.

Sometimes Seven had their Christmas last night. The Gypsy got me these awesome shoelaces that look even MORE awesome in my Doc Martens…the shoes I should have been wearing yesterday morning when I slipped and fell on the ice. This will encourage me to wear decent shoes when I leave the house and limit my sneaker wearing to the house only…until Spring, anyway.

So…how many holidays do YOU celebrate?
