HERO on the Web Today

This weekend’s launch was FABULOUS…pics to come soon!

In the meantime, I’ve got some GREAT stuff out there on ye olde intarwebs today:

Carrie S. reviewed HERO for Smart Bitches, Trashy Books. The book received a hard-earned B+ from this exceptionally tough review site, and I’m honored! Click on over to see if you agree with her assessment.

***

I Smell Sheep is hosting an exceptionally fun character interview with Saturday Woodcutter. I had so much fun doing a character interview with Sunday last year, that I really wanted to do it again, and Sharon was all too happy to host my “punch first and ask questions later” heroine. Click here for much amusement.

***

Also falling under the category of “things that will make you laugh on a Monday”, I wrote a craft piece for the RWA’s Future, Fantasy & Paranormal blog about how dating some really big jerk helped me learn how to become a better writer…by stealing. Click here to read “Queen of Thieves.”

And there’s more…on the way soon! xox

Anything Goes

I certainly hope Mom & Dad weren’t up at 11pm last night listening in to my podcast interview on ANYTHING GOES…and if you were happily in dreamland too, worry not! You can still listen to the interview in its 30-minute entirety HERE:

Geek Girls and Big Ideas

Today on the HERO Book Tour, we have:

My “The Big Idea” essay, hosted by John Scalzi, in which I talk about…well…the big idea behind HERO. Which is always fun! ANd John is a particular hero of MINE, so it’s an honor to have an essay on his site.

***

Another one-of-a-kind Fairy Tale Rant Video for www.geekgirlinlove.com, in which I rant about Petronella and “Master Maid,” the original fairy tales behind HERO (the ones fewer people are apparently familiar with). Click here to watch!

***

I talk about “The Book Shelf I Can’t Live Without” over at Mel’s Shelves, complete with picture and accompanying list of titles I’d be surprised if you’ve heard of.

***

And today’s quote…since I’ve been remiss about posting the quotes (but you can always find them all on Tumblr)

A Sword and a Destiny

Today’s Blog Offerings

HERO landed in bookstores today, and exploded all over the intarwebs in a big way!

***

At the Waterworld Mermaids, I blog about my spectacular, almost supernatural ability to pull off things at the Last Minute. Includes a few stats on Beloved, the first draft of which I finished last night around 11pm. (Click here to read and enter to win the Blog Tour Basket!)

***

Over at Mary Robinette Kowal‘s blog, I talk about “My Favorite Bit” of HERO and its Shakespearean origins. I absolutely LOVE this essay. It’s possibly my favorite entry of the tour. (Click here to read!)

***

The gorgeous Ms. Book Queen has posted her own review of HERO today, in conjunction with a chance to win a signed copy of Enchanted. (Click here to read and enter!)

***

HERO is Justine Magazine‘s Most Fun Fairy Tale for Teen Read Week! Click here to read some really fun Spark Girl reviews!

***

Another fabulous review at Library of a Book Witch…by someone who *gets* the old-school fairy tale references!

***

A really fun interview with MOI over at Tressa’s Wishful Endings! I talk about damsels in distress and my all-time favorite fairy tales.

Hero Birthday!

Happy Book Birthday, Dear HERO!

There will be a lot more from me on the intarwebs later, now that I’ve finished the manuscript for Beloved (*fanfare*), but first I’m gonna relax a bit. Right after I say…

HAPPY BOOK BIRTHDAY, HERO!
