Princess Alethea’s Fairy Tale Rants: The Frog Prince

It’s here! It’s here!

As promised (for sooooo long), here is my inaugural video blog (aka: “vlog”) entry in which Princess Alethea Rants About Fairy Tales!

These rants may not always be about the Grimms’ tales, but as I’m a Grimm Girl, and there is CERTAINLY enough fodder in the Complete Grimms’ Tales, this is probably the best place to start.

Enjoy! xox

Well, that was certainly very intriguing. I’d forgotten about that tragic ending to the Frog Prince!

The princess’ snobby attitude in all the versions always gets on my nerves, I wish it was HER that got smashed into a wall! That’s what I loved so much about your book ‘Enchanted’ Sunday’s caring spirit. 🙂

Looking forward to your next rants about other fairytales, I tend to stay away from the Grimm fairytales because they’re… so… grim. And tragic! But you make me want to take a second look!

  2. Princess Alethea Says:

But you’re SUPPOSED to not like the girl who goes back on her promise. That’s the great thing about the Grimms’ tales — EVERYONE (usually) gets what they deserve. How can you say they’re grim after reading, say, Hans Christian Andersen, who TOTALLY needed Prozac?

  3. Mom Kontis Says:

I love you! You always make me smile. Enjoyed the video.

    Thanks, Mom! xox
