What’s your favorite writing/sketching weather?
Rain, of course (I live in Seattle).

Set your current playlist/musical device to “shuffle all” and hit PLAY. What’s the first song that comes up?
“Home” by Naked Raygun

If you could win any award, which would it be?
Hugo! Nebula!

Would you rather have magical powers, or a spaceship?
Spaceship, no contest.

What was your favorite book as a child?
Alice in Wonderland

What thing do you wish you could go back in time and tell your 10-year-old self?
Always choose kindness.

What’s your favorite constellation?
I’ve always felt partial to Orion, since he was the first one I learned to identify.

What’s your favorite fairy tale?
I struggle with fairy tales a lot. I like retellings, like Angela Carter’s Bloody Chamber. Out of traditional tales, I like the Rrom tales of Lallah Pombo best.

What thing are you most proud of?
My relationship with my husband. It’s awesome.
