I wasn’t really sure what I was going to do with my Earth Hour last night. And then right around 6:45 the sky turned green. Half an hour later, I was out on the street with all my neighbors admiring God’s handiwork on the Boys & Girls Club at the end of our road. I took a few pics, talked to some firemen, got chased off by the electric company because of the downed power lines, and went home. I lit candles, plugged my iPod into the portable speakers, and opened all the windows. I folded my laundry, did the dishes, and then read Lavender Morning until the wee hours. The power came back on at 1am.
I am bone tired of being scared to death of thunderstorms.
Thankfully, no one was in the Club at the time.
My camera was starting to die…but notice the cloud cover on its way out as fast as it came in.
There are a few more pics here.
More pics from the local paper. Looks like the strip mall got hit too.
Yowch!
PS: Left you a quick thanks on your cell. (Just found that file in my spam yesterday!)
I got the message.
I’m SPAM now?
That’s awesome.
Must have reacted to file and the name of the movie (which is probably in a million spam messages for pirate sites and malware whatnot now).
Thanks again; the song is neat!

Glad you’re okay.
Thanks for letting me know that you and Casa Kontis were unscathed. Much love!
